About exhibition
A large-scale, long-term exhibition presenting a comprehensive picture of professional art in Siberia across the Soviet, post-Soviet and contemporary periods. The display, staged in two halls of the Hermitage-Siberia Center, includes over 170 works of painting, graphic art, decorative and applied arts, as well as sculpture by leading masters of several generations. The works by representatives of 15 major artistic centers of Siberia showcase a kaleidoscope of traditions, stylistic modes and individual explorations by the artists, satisfying interest in local culture. Many works — including painted compositions by G. S. Baymukhanov, V. V. Ivankin, E. V. Bobrova, V. S. Bukharov, N. N. Vershinin, E. D. Dorokhov, N. I. Rybakov, M. P. Usova and others — are being shown for the first time.
