Exhibition “Sergey Andriyaka. The Link Between Generations. In Memory of the Master of Watercolor Painting”
About exhibition
Visitors to the exhibition will have a unique opportunity to become acquainted with oil paintings and watercolors that will not leave even the most discerning lover of fine art indifferent. The works are by Sergey Nikolaevich Andriyaka (1958–2024) — People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts. He is known as a recognized master of watercolor technique and as a talented teacher who trained multiple generations of artists. He developed a unique system of classical multilayer watercolor painting, embodied in the School of Watercolor and the Academy of Watercolor and Fine Arts. In his works he used layered glazing applications on the dry or partially dried surface of the paper. High-quality paper and paints have preserved the color and chromatic richness of the watercolors, distinguished by their color harmony and poetic perception of the world. The exhibition also features works by Sergey Andriyaka’s daughters: Elizaveta, Sofya and Maria.
