The "Silver-Toothed Pampalche" Exhibition
About exhibition
The museum halls are divided into zones, each dedicated to a particular fairy tale, legend, or tradition. The walls of the halls are hand-painted. The permanent exhibition features movable puppets and household items with which guides introduce visitors to the culture of Mari fairy tales in an interactive, playful form. The museum's exhibits can be roughly divided into two parts: interactive exhibits—household items and costume elements that visitors can handle freely (for example, putting on the armor of a Mari bogatyr); and exhibits of historical value, interaction with which is conducted with the participation of a guide. The exhibition also includes materials for self-guided study that tell the legends of the heroes in more detail or reveal particulars of a given tale.
