Exhibition 'Rybinsk Water Area'
About exhibition
The project, dedicated to the history of navigation on the Volga, presents a 10-meter model-panorama of the river and the Rybinsk embankment of the mid-19th century. The exhibition is located in two museum halls and is divided into several interactive zones – a burlak strength tester, a board game, and coloring pages. Visitors will see the types of vessels that plied the Volga: barks, rasshivy, unzhaks, cargo barges and the first steamships, made at a scale of 1:100. Each vessel was created using 3D modeling, printed on a 3D printer and hand-painted by artists, including students of the Rybinsk Children's Art School. "Rybinsk Water Area" is a joint project of the Rybinsk State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve and the private museum "Rybinsk Fishes". It is carried out with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
