Exhibition 'Russian Painting of the 19th–20th Centuries'

The exhibition is a collection of paintings of Russian realist art from the second half of the 19th to the first half of the 20th century, assembled over 50 years by a scientist in the field of wood preservation and collector Sergey Nikolaevich Gorshin. His favorite genre was landscape painting, and it was on that basis that S. N. Gorshin formed his collection. The display features works by the classics of academic painting, the Society for Traveling Art Exhibitions (Peredvizhniki), and representatives of notable groups such as Mir Iskusstva (World of Art), the Union of Russian Artists, the Blue Rose, the Jack of Diamonds, as well as masters of Soviet realism from the 1930s–1950s. Visitors can see works by renowned masters, including 'Sea. Sunset' by I. K. Aivazovsky, 'The Lake of Tiberias' by V. D. Polenov, 'Winter Evening' by A. K. Savrasov, 'In the Forest' by I. I. Shishkin, 'Still Life. Vegetables and a Pitcher' by Falk, and many others.
