The era of the Rurikids is full of events that had a decisive impact on the formation of statehood and all aspects of the country's life: the founding of ancient towns, the Christianization of Rus', the two-century Mongol-Tatar yoke and its overcoming, the struggle against foreign invaders, the transformation of Moscow into one of the centers of European socio-political life, and the creation of a strong and distinctive state. A captivating account of Russian history will be presented through more than 200 multimedia devices, including touch screens, 50-inch plasma screens, lightboxes, tablet computers with interactive quizzes and educational apps developed specifically for the exhibition, as well as short and engaging films that tell about the major milestones of ancient Rus'.
