The exhibition about the Romanov dynasty is an ambitious, large-scale project that covers the dynasty's entire history through its people and events. Over 300 years of the dynasty's rule, the country experienced major developments: the exploration and settlement of Siberia and the Far East; the reunification of Rus' and Ukraine; the founding of the new capital, St. Petersburg; victory over Napoleon; the incorporation of southern regions into Russia; the abolition of serfdom; an unprecedented cultural, scientific, technological, and industrial boom; and much more. More than 350 multimedia displays are presented, including touch screens, 50-inch plasma screens, lightboxes, tablet computers with interactive quizzes and educational apps developed specifically for the exhibition, as well as short, engaging films that recount the key milestones in the history of the Russian state.
