Exhibition 'Motherland, I exalt you...'

About exhibition

A permanent exhibition "Motherland, I exalt you..." has opened in the cultural and exhibition center with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives, where visitors can learn about the life and work of the world-renowned artist Ivan Yegorovich Selivanov. Ivan Yegorovich's works were admired in Paris and London. His works received three Grand Prix at international exhibitions, and his name was included in the "World Encyclopedia of Naive Art" (1984). Animals and birds occupy a central place in Ivan Yegorovich Selivanov's art. The artist's natural talent reveals to visitors "Lion in the Forest", "Landscape with a Wolf", "Puma", "Dog", "Family of Roosters", "Deer", "Cat". He depicts them with great imagination, carefully and lovingly, endowing them with cunning and ingenuousness, as if anthropomorphizing their images: dogs, cows and birds gaze from the artist's drawings with large, contemplative, sorrowful eyes. The exhibition features more than 60 works.
