Exhibition “Relics of the Great Victory”
About exhibition
There are fewer and fewer eyewitnesses of the Great Patriotic War — those who could convey the truth of those distant, harsh, fearless and valiant years. But documents and objects remain — relics of the Great Victory. The exhibition presents commemorative items of participants of the Great Patriotic War from the museum’s collections: a soldier’s tobacco pouch, a mess tin and spoon, a homemade lighter made from a shell casing, a notebook, a porcelain teacup, a commander’s watch and binoculars, a captured harmonica and many other wartime artifacts that preserve the memory of the war participants who lived to see the Victory. A separate section of the exhibition is devoted to combat awards and frontline letters of Anzhero-Sudzhensk residents. The exhibits preserve the memory of the war heroes for future generations and help to immortalize the history of the people who gave future generations the peaceful sky above their heads.
