Exhibition 'Religious Map of Udmurtia'

About exhibition

The project is aimed at fostering a culture of respectful and considerate attitudes toward adherents of different religious traditions. Visitors will learn much that is new about the unique diversity of confessions in the Udmurt Republic, their historical paths, and contemporary life. Authentic exhibits, each bearing deep symbolism and history, will help immerse guests in the atmosphere of spiritual heritage. Visitors will see ancient sacred texts, unique objects used in sacred ceremonies, and ceremonial vestments reflecting age-old traditions. Special attention is given to detailed scale models of architectural gems—houses of worship—and to works of art inspired by the eternal themes of faith and the search for meaning. All exhibits have been selected to instill in learners the motivation for conscious moral behavior based on knowledge of and respect for the cultural and religious traditions of Russia’s multiethnic people, as well as the ability to engage in dialogue with representatives of other cultures and worldviews. The exhibition invites reflection on the timeless values that unite humanity and serves as a visual foundation for interfaith dialogue.
