Exhibition “Reality and Phantasmagoria. On the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Viktor Vilner”
About exhibition
On September 16, 2025, a new exhibition will open in the Semi-Circular Exhibition Hall of the Stable Building of the S. M. Kirov Central Park of Culture and Leisure. The exposition will present lithographs created by the artist at different times. Familiar characters from A. S. Pushkin, N. V. Gogol, F. M. Dostoevsky, A. A. Blok and A. Bely are placed in a fantastic context, and Saint Petersburg appears as an animate hero with its own character and will. The cycles of artistic improvisations presented at the exhibition, like classical prose, are internally complete and harmonious, yet at the same time open to interpretation from any line. The master immerses the viewer in this special dimension created by the author's imagination. Viktor Semenovich Vilner (1925–2017) was a Soviet and Russian artist and lithographer. The exhibition features his works from the collection of A. G. Lazarev.
