Exhibition 'Radio Drift'
About exhibition
This is an investigation of layers of information that are not directly audible and require special devices. They include concrete elements — voices, music, recordings of broadcasts — as well as abstract sounds: noises, signals, conversations in unknown languages, encoded messages for which there is no key and whose nature often remains unclear. This work exists as an imagined radio station assembled from many other transmissions unfolding on the air. It is broadcast in real time, and its material becomes the movement between sources itself — a sequence of switches and overlapping signals. There is no ready-made program or schedule here: the stream is formed from found material without planning and substantial filtering; it is recorded as documentation of a journey through the airwaves. The piece invites the listener to become a co-participant in a process that, by directing their attention, shapes a personal perception of the heard stream. Details — on the website.
