Exhibition of Works by Irina Makhova 'Eternal Stories'
About exhibition
This is the jubilee solo exhibition of Tver artist Irina Makhova. The exhibition will present graphic works — both original and printed — executed in drawings and techniques whose names are beautiful, mysterious, but now rarely spoken: etching, collagraphy, drypoint; original paintings; and Roman-style stone mosaics. The artist experiments with different materials, technologies, color, textures, lines and strokes. All of this is intended so that the 'eternal stories' (quiet joy, profound sorrow, fleeting happiness and great love) in seemingly insignificant details, experienced by a person day after day and repeated from century to century, turn into an object accessible to attention, desirable for contemplation and understanding, whether it is a graphic sheet, a painted canvas or a mosaic panel. More than 60 works by Irina Makhova created by the artist over 10 years will be included in the exhibition.
