The exhibition from the collections of the State Museum of Russian Literature named after V.I. Dahl (Moscow) was created in a contemporary format for the 200th anniversary of the great writer. It consists of 20 panels and contains both well-known and rare portraits of F.M. Dostoevsky by artists Mikhail Rundaltsov, Konstantin Trutovsky, Pyotr Borel, Yuri Seliverstov, Sarra Shor, Vladimir Favorsky and other authors. They are complemented by photographs of Fyodor Mikhailovich taken at photo studios in Tver and Staraya Russa, illustrations for his works, mainly his five major novels - 'Crime and Punishment', 'The Idiot', 'Demons', 'The Adolescent', 'The Brothers Karamazov'. The core of the exhibition is made up of items from the collections of the State Museum of Russian Literature named after V.I. Dahl, which holds a collection of memorial objects gathered by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky's wife, Anna Grigoryevna Snitkina, during the writer's lifetime.
