The mission of the "Proto-Museum" is to restore balance to a world that has lost it and put it back on natural tracks. It aims to offer an alternative to the ideology of consumerism and to introduce contemporary children and young people to authentic examples of natural human activity that, in the digital age, will help them stay connected to nature. The constantly updated Proto-Museum exhibition showcases examples of sound, good design in the material culture of the past and present. These include objects of popular "protodesign", urban pre-revolutionary culture, and examples of contemporary "protodesign" by the TAF Workshop. A distinctive feature of the exhibition is its living environment: the collection is openly displayed and may be touched, sketched, and studied, and interactive educational and outreach programs are held — quizzes, quests, workshops, lectures, and guided tours for schoolchildren and students of creative professions.
