Exhibition 'Russian Crafts'

About exhibition

Visitors will learn about the distinctive artistic traditions that developed over centuries in different regions. At their core is the art of working with wood, clay, stone, metal and other natural materials. Visitors will learn about the history and exhibits of the Bogorodskaya toy. They will see toys and tableware painted in the Gzhel and Khokhloma styles and learn the history of these painting traditions. Also on display are souvenirs with wood carving, amber souvenirs, and birch-bark items. Local-color exhibits are also presented — Kubachi metalwork and Untsukul ornamental incised woodwork.
