Exhibition of paintings and graphic works from the collection of the N. A. Yaroshenko Museum
About exhibition
The Yaroshenko museum-estate in Kislovodsk is the only surviving noble estate of the second half of the 19th century in the region. The main house, known as the "White Villa", served as the residence of the artist Nikolai Aleksandrovich Yaroshenko and his wife Maria Pavlovna. Its halls present a collection of more than 100 original works by the master, including paintings, drawings and watercolours, as well as archival photographs, furniture and household items from that era. Wing No. 1 is dedicated to the work of the Peredvizhniki (the Itinerants), whose works are a pride of the museum collection. These include works by Savrasov, Kramskoi, Myasoedov, Kuindzhi, Nesterov, Dubovsky, Kasatkin, Vasnetsov and many others who were frequent guests of the artist. Wing No. 2 is an exhibition space where works from the museum's collection are displayed and themed exhibitions are held. The museum-estate preserves not only the material heritage but also the cultural atmosphere of the era, attracting connoisseurs of history and art.
