The exhibition features works by the great Russo-American artist Nikolai Ivanovich Feshin from the collection of the State Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Tatarstan. The show presents works from the artist's Kazan period drawn from the museum's holdings. The jewel of the collection is his portrait gallery and paintings devoted to scenes of everyday life of the peoples of the Kazan Governorate, in which ethnic color closely intertwines with the bold experiments of European art at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. On display are well-known paintings from the museum's collection, such as 'Portrait of Varya Adoratskaya', 'Self-Portrait', 'Dousing' and others.
