Exhibition "Nature of the Kostroma Region"
About exhibition
The exhibition will take you on an unforgettable journey where you can learn about the lives of animals throughout the seasons. You will see species listed in the Kostroma Region's Red Data Book — such as a sandpiper known locally as "kulik-soroka", the European bee-eater, the Eurasian eagle-owl, the flying squirrel, the hawk owl, and many others. Colorful dioramas illustrating various aspects of nature and phenological seasons, together with numerous visual examples, will help you understand the laws of nature and ecological interrelationships. You will learn how the region's feathered and furry inhabitants have adapted to adverse conditions and to competition during the breeding season. You will also be introduced to the paleontological past of the Kostroma region.
