Exhibition 'Nature of the Don Region'
About exhibition
The museum will feature a permanent exhibition 'Nature of the Don Region'. In the first part of the exhibition, visitors will become acquainted with the oldest exhibits in the paleontology section, such as various types of fossilized mollusks, fragments of fossilized fern trunks from the Carboniferous period of the Paleozoic era, fossilized rocks with imprints of Cordaites from the collection of fossil shells and mollusks, as well as bones and teeth of a mammoth, an ancient deer, and a European bison. The second part of the exhibition presents the modern world of wild animals and birds. On the display podium you can see a wild boar, a hare, a weasel, a fox, a moose, a ground squirrel, and a wide variety of birds. Some showcases display various types of domestic birds: ducks, chickens, geese, and turkey.
