Exhibition "Nature of the Arkhangelsk Region: Arctic Zone"

About exhibition

The core of the exhibition consists of taxidermy mounts, many of which have their own histories and are considered significant artifacts in the history of the Arkhangelsk Regional Museum of Local Lore. Many natural exhibits can be touched, and some can even be heard: video recordings and samples of animal calls are presented, as well as cartographic descriptions. For young visitors there are interactive zones – the "Tundra Biocenosis" stand and the game "Exploring the Arctic" – and a map of the Arkhangelsk Region showing the Arctic zone and basic information about it. The exhibition was created with accessibility requirements in mind. Specifically for people with visual impairments, tactile boxes with samples of natural objects and information about them written in Braille are provided.
