The exhibition is devoted to the family life of Siberians from the late 19th to the 20th centuries. Most of the items were collected by residents of the village of Barzas, which began to be settled in those years. The exhibition features more than 200 exhibits. Special items include: the samovar, which was heated with pine cones or birch coals; a wooden butter churn; handmade textiles; solid cast-iron and coal irons; and lapti (bast shoes), by which settlers were recognized. At the exhibition, visitors learn about the everyday details of a Siberian village resident, discover the tastes and pastimes of the time, and observe changes related to the development of scientific and technical progress. Studying antique objects reveals the origins of Siberian domestic culture. The exhibition concludes with a reconstruction of a tea-drinking area. In the late 19th century, tea drinking was becoming a life necessity and was accompanied by its own etiquette. One European traveler noted: "Tea for a Siberian is what potatoes are for an Irishman; many drink about 40 glasses a day." Group visits of up to 10 people are possible.
