Exhibition 'Portrait of the Arsenyev Family'
About exhibition
In this house the great traveler spent the last two years of his life – from 1928 to 1930. Visiting it, you can understand how intellectuals lived in Vladivostok after the Revolution. Vladimir Klavdievich is a world-renowned writer and tireless researcher; his works remain relevant to this day, and books have been written and films made about his life. You can now see the study where he wrote his books. Its interior has been fully reconstructed and furnished with authentic items: a writing desk, a bookcase, a rocking chair, a celestial globe, a typewriter, photographs and documents, and editions of his books. Next to the study is the living room where, after long and arduous expeditions, V.K. Arsenyev's entire family would gather. The atmosphere of the Traveler's House is remarkable — being inside it, you begin to understand Vladimir Klavdievich's passion for exploring the unknown and to feel his attitude toward life and family. More details about the exhibition are available on the website.
