Exhibition «POLE: Enlightenment, Experience, Love, Unity»
About exhibition
The exhibition tells the story of the museum's formation and development during its first two decades after its founding in 1905, and of the people who, by their selfless work, laid a solid foundation of local-history knowledge that became the basis and starting point for further development. Visitors will be shown exhibits collected by members of the Penza Society of Natural Science Enthusiasts. These items have travelled a long way with the museum since its founding. Among them are a stuffed klyusha gull, exhibits from the museum's first display such as stuffed Eurasian curlew, black kite and Caucasian ular. Guests will also see a collection of bird eggs, minerals, seashells of marine mollusks, and many other valuable items that have been kept in the museum's collections for more than a century. The exhibition has become part of the permanent display of the Penza Local History Museum. For information call: 8 (8412) 56-55-20.
