The Great Patriotic War scorched the fates of Russians with deadly flames. It entered every home, every family, generously collecting its bloody tribute. It left no one indifferent. The entire people—fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters—whole families, entire villages and towns rose up to fight the terrible enemy. And that is why we won… The exhibition tells the fates and stories of compatriots and those bound by the war, about families who lived through the war, and about the lives of people from different corners of the republic. The exhibition brings together the stories and merits of various people: the Shchigolev family, the Prosuzhikh brothers, the Semyashkin brothers, the Zhilin brothers, the Visheratin family, the Durkin family, the Yekimov brothers, the Kislyakov brothers.
