Exhibition «The Poet and the Tsar»
About exhibition
The exhibition project was organized with the participation of the All‑Russian A. S. Pushkin Museum and the State Museum‑Reserve «Tsarskoye Selo». The exhibition is dedicated to the 225th anniversary of the poet’s birth and explores his relationship with the supreme authority. The display comprises six thematic sections covering the reigns of Alexander I and Nicholas I. It presents images of historical rulers reflected in Alexander Pushkin’s work: Peter I, Catherine II, Boris Godunov. The concluding section symbolically represents the tragic end of the poet’s life. The project brings together memorial items, archival documents, and works of art from museum collections. The exhibition design combines historical artifacts with modern display technologies.
