Authentic materials are on display that reveal the role of fellow townspeople from Nikolaev during the Great Patriotic War and during special military operations in Afghanistan, Chechnya, Syria, and Ukraine. There are five such exhibitions: "The Great Rank-and-File", "Hospitals", "The Path of the 13th Guards Division", "Local Heroes", "Hot Spots", and "Models of Military Equipment". One of the exhibits contains material about the placement of hospitals on the territory of the Nikolaev district during the Battle of Stalingrad. The display includes items from the museum's collections: a helmet belonging to a Soviet soldier; Soviet coins from the Great Patriotic War; a spoon from the Great Patriotic War; combat awards such as the "Heroic Defense of Stalingrad"; and other objects. The "Models of Military Equipment" exhibit shows items from a private collection. The main idea of the exhibition is to show the heroism of the people — medics, workers, collective farmers, and ordinary soldiers. You will see how ordinary people on the home front and at the front heroically bore the burden of war. One of the exhibits is dedicated to fellow countrymen who defended the country's interests in peacetime and continue to fight fascism.
