The exhibition displays authentic items: personal belongings, photographs, and documents of the defenders of Moscow; the Medal 'For the Defense of Moscow'; award certificates; a Red Army service book; a military ID; letters; memoirs; autobiographies; albums; books; and a 1941 subscription to the newspaper Izvestia. The exhibition tells the story of nine residents of Yurga who took part in the Battle for Moscow, among them: Hero of the Soviet Union Leonid Nikolaevich Ponomarenko; Guards Senior Lieutenant Petr Dmitrievich Alexeshnikov — commander of a rifle battalion; Glafira Ivanovna Volgina — nurse at evacuation hospitals; Guards Major Alexey Ivanovich Danilov; Captain Maksim Ustinovich Malyarenko; artilleryman Ivan Ivanovich Martusevich; Lieutenant Colonel of Artillery Grigory Alexeyevich Sorokin; Private Mikhail Fedorovich Sushko; and Private Petr Pavlovich Shirkin.
