Exhibition 'Interweavings'
About exhibition
The exhibition is a joint project of the museum-reserve 'Homeland of V. I. Lenin' and artisans of decorative and applied weaving arts who live in the Ulyanovsk Region. The display features more than 80 household and decorative-applied art objects made of jute, willow (wicker), birch bark and bast. Visitors can see the 'jute filigree' by craftswoman N. N. Izhidova, wicker pieces by craftsmen from the village of Akshuat and other masters from the Ulyanovsk Region. The exhibition is complemented by items from the collection of the museum-reserve 'Homeland of V. I. Lenin'.
