Exhibition 'Partisan Village'
About exhibition
The 'Partisan Village' complex is a composite representation of the partisan bases hidden in the forests that operated in the territories of the USSR temporarily occupied by the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War (1941–1944). The site features earth huts (zemlyanki), dugouts and bunkers serving various purposes, and utility/support buildings. The furnishings and utensils inside the bunkers have been faithfully reconstructed based on photographs and the recollections of participants in the partisan movement. Nature lovers can visit the farmyard and meet its inhabitants — rabbits, chickens, sheep, deer and donkeys. When walking around the village you need not fear cold weather: the earth huts and bunkers are equipped with heating stoves.
