The exhibition tells the history of the city of Krasnoturyinsk from the founding of the settlement Turyinskie Rudniki in the 18th century to the end of the 20th century. The exhibition space is divided into thematic sections: 'In the Vogul Dominions' – about the life and culture of the indigenous Mansi people and the period of the founding of the Bogoslovsky mining district by Maksim Pokhodyashin; 'The History of Turyinskie Rudniki in the 19th and early 20th centuries' – the mining intelligentsia of the Turyinskie Rudniki settlement (A. A. Auerbach, I. P. Svetlakov, M. A. Myasnikov), prominent figures in science and culture (A. S. Popov, A. S. Mislavsky, N. A. Mislavsky, A. P. Karpinsky), the local merchant class, everyday life of residents; 'A Guy from Our Town' – about the pilot, Hero of the Soviet Union and participant in the Spanish Civil War Anatoly Serov; 'The Great Patriotic War in the Region's History'; 'Bogoslovlag'; 'Sotsgorod' – about the construction of the town and the plant from the 1950s until the late 1980s.
