About exhibition

On display are exhibits recovered over various years during archaeological excavations, illustrating the region's historical past — from the Stone Age to the late Medieval period. Several full-scale models were specially made for the exhibition: for example, the tomb of Heracles and a real blast furnace. These and many other art objects will not only help to better understand the characteristics and purpose of the archaeological finds, but also provide unforgettable photo opportunities. The exhibition features, for the first time, items that have never been displayed before. Among them are a collection of rare amphorae, a Megarian bowl bearing unique traces left by the hands of its contemporaries, and other rare objects.
