Exhibition 'Caution: Fragile!'
About exhibition
The exhibition from the decorative and applied arts collection of the Krasnoyarsk Art Museum named after V. I. Surikov presents works of two kinds: artistic glassmaking and porcelain. Visitors will have the opportunity to see various techniques of working with the material and examples of overglaze and underglaze painting, gilding, stamping, forming, and engraving. The display includes small-scale sculpture, tableware, sculpture, and object art. The exhibition tells the story of domestic glassmaking, the major porcelain manufactories of pre-revolutionary and contemporary Russia, and the country's cultural heritage. It is an opportunity to reflect on the fragility of the delicate and elegant objects the museum preserves for future generations.
