Exhibition 'New Additions to the Museum Collection'
About exhibition
Since 2023, the museum's archaeological holdings have been significantly replenished, reaching a volume of almost 6,050 storage units. The new exhibition presents only a portion of these acquisitions, intended to attract the attention of a broad audience. Visitors will see materials obtained from excavations of archaeological sites both within the territory of Adygea and in Krasnodar Krai. Among them are the archaeological complex 'Deguksko-Dakhovskaya Polyana' (three phases), the cultural heritage site 'Necropolis of the ancient city of Gorgippia', the kurgan 'Novy-1', the settlement Yastrebovskoe-Berezhnoe, the locality 'Chicheryn-1', and the kurgan cemetery 'Prirechny' (1, 2, 3). The exhibition project is organized in strict chronological order and is characterized by a comprehensive analytical approach to the material presented. These artefacts represent a unique value for the study of the cultural and historical heritage of the region and the country as a whole.
