About exhibition

The exhibition is devoted to the main themes of New Year postcards in the USSR and their transformation. On display are Soviet-era New Year postcards, party poppers, pennants, and Christmas tree ornaments — butterflies, bears, vases with flowers, and bogatyrs (legendary warriors). The holiday postcards depict women and children with flowers. They personify the bright future that surely awaits in the new year. The exhibition includes works by Vladimir Zarubin, Alexander Savin, Vladimir Chetverikov, Svetlana Komarova and other Soviet artists.
