Five exhibitions and about 300 works. It opens with the St. Petersburg artist: "The 20th–21st Centuries in the Work of Anatoly Chernykh." In his painting the artist devoted primary attention to portraits of people who defined the face of the times and to subjects reflecting significant events. Svetlana Uzhinskaya titled her exhibition "Time U: Painting." The Novgorod artist presented more than 50 works: fairy-tale motifs, Russian proverbs and sayings, and biblical parables interpreted by a contemporary artist possessing a sharply individual artistic language. "Terribly Beautiful." This is the painting of St. Petersburg artist Andrey Semenov. At its core are still lifes presented as formal experiments that alter the perception of the traditional understanding of beauty. Novgorod artist Anastasia Belysheva will present "Music Album. The History of the Cover. From the beginning of the 20th century to the present." The author shares with visitors a collection she has assembled over a long period. Record sleeves — pre-revolutionary, Soviet, and European. And Alexander Komisaruk from Veliky Novgorod will show "Observation of Life." More than 70 photographs. Alexander is a journalist and photo correspondent who has visited many countries and cities. At his jubilee exhibition dedicated to his 75th birthday he presented reportage and scenic photographs reflecting his creative biography.
