Exhibition 'The Invincibles'
About exhibition
The exhibition tells about the branches of military aviation and aviators from the Vyatka region. Documents, memoirs, photographs, letters, newspaper publications, and artifacts illuminate the biographies of war veterans, provide an understanding of the events of the 1940s, and show the contribution of Soviet aviation to the Great Victory. The core of the exhibition consists of collections gathered during the 'We Are True to This Memory' campaign from April 2024 to April 2025. Active participants in preserving the memory of the war heroes included staff of museums of the Kirov region (Kumyonsky, Sunsky, Sovetsky, Kotelnichsky), the Zuyevskaya centralized library system, members of the military-historical club '240th Medical-Sanitary Battalion' of Kirov, the military-historical club 'Aviagroup 122' of Moscow, relatives of Vyatka aviators, and local historians. A large number of artifacts for the exhibition were provided by Kirov collectors: G. Ya. Lopatin, E. V. Yemshanova, S. P. Mukhodanov.
