The exhibition is devoted to the inner life and creative path of the great Russian writer Leo Tolstoy, as well as to the characters of his famous novel "Anna Karenina." The display reveals the multifaceted inner world of the author and his characters through the prism of key concepts — movement, creativity, family, and spirituality. Over six years (1873–1878) Leo Tolstoy created his first novel, in which he sought to convey the complex fabric of human destinies and the internal interweaving of thoughts and feelings. In the course of his work the writer formulated his ideas about the integrity of the artistic text, about the inner connection between the characters and the author, which found expression in the structure of "Anna Karenina." An important part of the collection will be the display of manuscript materials, visual exhibits, and multimedia resources that allow visitors to trace the development of the concept and the author's inner movement. A special place in the exhibition is given to Leo Tolstoy's personal life: family joys and tragedies, concerns for his children, reflections on fate and spiritual searching. The writer's inner experiences — the loss of children, family trials — are reflected in the images of his characters and the novel's plotlines. The exhibition shows how Tolstoy's personal destinies and inner conflicts intertwined with the fates of his characters.
