Exhibition 'Forever in Memory'
About exhibition
Visitors can see historical relics: a radio set, a camera from the 1940s, a gramophone, children's toys, photographs and documents. The museum halls display uniforms of fighters from various branches of the Soviet Army — scouts, ski troops, tank crews, pilots, sappers — as well as personal belongings and awards of Omsk residents who took part in the Great Patriotic War. Visitors will also see products made by Omsk factories for the front and items reflecting civilian life during wartime. The work of local evacuation hospitals is shown, along with the medical instruments used to operate on wounded soldiers during the war. A large section is devoted to besieged Leningrad, where the Omsk 364th Rifle Division fought. The exhibition concludes with the Victory Hall, which features items related to the Victory Parade on Red Square and a wax figure of Marshal G. K. Zhukov; nearby are orders and medals of Soviet soldiers.
