Exhibition 'NATO. Chronicle of Cruelty'

About exhibition

The State Museum of Contemporary History of Russia has prepared the exhibition 'NATO. Chronicle of Cruelty', dedicated to key international events from the beginning of the Cold War to the present related to the military activities of the North Atlantic Alliance. The exhibition features photographs and documents from the collection of the State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia, provided by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, the Central Museum of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the Russian Historical Society, MGIMO, and the TASS news agency. The exhibition's thematic panels include: background, the creation of NATO, U.S. aggression against Vietnam, the Euro-missile crisis, the Balkan wars, the policy of enlargement, the bombing of Yugoslavia, coercion to war, and NATO and Ukraine. The exhibition materials eloquently demonstrate that even in the 21st century NATO seeks to subordinate the world to its own interests, plainly revealing the contradiction between its peaceful rhetoric and the brutal nature of the policy actually pursued, which has manifested in armed conflicts worldwide from the mid-20th century to the present.
