About exhibition

The traveling exhibition "Museum Collection" was prepared as part of the regional project "Treasures of Kuzbass" and presents items from the collections of the Kuzbass Museum of Fine Arts. There are 11 items in total: paintings, works on paper, and decorative-applied arts. Visitors can expect painterly and graphic works in the genres of portrait and landscape. For example, E. G. Potapov's "Portrait of I. Rodnina" — the subject of the work is the three-time Olympic champion in figure skating. Among the decorative-applied arts are birch-bark containers and a wooden bowl painted in the Khokhloma style. Most of the exhibition consists of paintings by Kuzbass artists: Yu. G. Lobuznova, N. V. Vertkov, A. S. Gordeev, I. A. Chermyanin, A. S. Chernov and other artists.
