Exhibition "Museum of Military Glory"
About exhibition
The exhibition is dedicated to the memory of the historical achievements of the Russian armed forces and recounts the heroic deeds of warriors from Vladimir from the 13th century to the present. The museum displays materials about outstanding commanders whose names are associated with the Vladimir region: Alexander Nevsky, Dmitry Pozharsky, Alexander Suvorov, Pyotr Bagration, Mikhail Lazarev, and Nikolai Stoletov. The installation "Hospital" was organized with the support of the Vladimir Garrison Hospital and is a continuation of efforts to organize exhibitions such as "Dugout", "Children and War", and the "Siege of Leningrad", which have great patriotic significance. It presents a recreated interior of an operating theatre from the Great Patriotic War and reflects the heroic and selfless work of the medical staff of Evacuation Hospital No. 1888, which was located in the building of the Center of Culture and Arts on Sobornaya Street from 1941 to 1943. Two halls dedicated to the immortal feat of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945, and to the participation of Vladimir residents in the defeat of the fascist invaders, occupy a central place in the exhibition.
