Exhibition "Museum of Siberian Communications"
About exhibition
The museum is located in the Main Post Office building, built in 1916 to a design by A. D. Kryachkov. The museum's main focus is researching the history of the communications industry in the Siberian regions. The museum collection includes more than 5,000 exhibits from the early 20th century to the present. In the museum halls you can see a Morse telegraph instrument, a container for transporting valuable mail, the uniform of a communications station chief, and a working exhibit — a decade-step telephone exchange — among many other items. The museum will be of interest to a wide audience: schoolchildren, family visitors, and people interested in the history of science and technology.
