Exhibition "Museum of Hunting Trophies"
About exhibition
Here you can see the skull of a Steller's sea cow, a mounted white-tailed eagle, the antlers of a Bukhara deer and the horns of a markhor, display groups of marine mammals and owls from the Kirov region — all these and other rare hunting trophies. In total the museum exhibits about 500 items. The museum can boast exotic specimens such as a Himalayan tahr, mounts of a Canadian wolf, a white badger and warthog heads, horns of the Mongolian dzeren, a musk ox and a muntjac, and pelts of a tiger and a snow leopard. In addition, you will be surprised by the variety of the Canadian fur collection. The taxidermy mount of an albino badger is such a unique exhibit that, aside from our museum, it can only be seen at the Darwin Museum in Moscow and at the Natural History Museum in London. Visits are allowed only as part of an organized group by prior reservation.
