Exhibition 'Museum of Wooden Architecture'
About exhibition
How do you get to a real quiet village in the middle of the city's hustle and bustle? In Kostroma it's easier than you might think: just visit the architectural and ethnographic department of the Kostroma Museum-Reserve. For many years unique examples of wooden architecture — peasant houses and small churches — have been carefully collected and preserved here. Opening the gate of the cozy settlement, you enter a village shaded by birch trees. Small footbridges cross the calm surface of the water, leading to meadows full of wildflowers, and in the huts you'll find exhibitions that tell the story of Kostroma peasant life.
