Film Museum Exhibition
About exhibition
The theme of the museum's permanent exhibition is the history of Russian cinema: from the era of attractions in the 1890s–1910s to the avant-garde experiments of the 1920s; from the Stalin period and wartime cinematography to the films of the Thaw; from the era of confessional auteur cinema of the 1970s to the rebellious Perestroika-era films of the 1980s. In addition, visitors can see the memorial exhibition "Sergei Eisenstein's Study." In the recreated Moscow apartment every item has a story and in its own way reveals the secrets of the work of the greatest director, historian and film theorist, art historian, artist, philosopher and educator.
