Exhibition 'Moisey Spiridonov. Milestones of Creativity'
About exhibition
In the permanent exhibition of the house-museum, visitors can see works that were dear to the artist's heart and surrounded him day after day: views of his native places painted after his return from the Academy, portraits of relatives, and early studies of one of his most iconic works — the painting 'The Bride'. The ethnography hall displays a small collection of folk art assembled by Moisey Spiridonovich: the groom's scarves, a bride's coverlet from the second half of the 18th century, shirts of the mid- and lowland Chuvash and samples of keske chest patterns, as well as sketches of Chuvash ornamentation made by the artist. The study immerses the visitor in the everyday world of the artist and researcher and tells the story of his family.
