The exhibition "The World of Birds" is dedicated to the memory of a remarkable fellow countrywoman, Lyubov Vasilyevna Malovichko — a native of the village of Ptichye in the Izobilnensky District of Stavropol Krai — an ornithologist, naturalist, educator and conservationist known in Russia and beyond, Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor of the Department of Zoology at the Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy (RSAU–MTAA) named after K. A. Timiryazev, and a member of the NGO "Expert Council on Protected Areas". The avifauna of the Izobilnensky District is rich and diverse! Nearly 100 species, 14 of which are listed in the Red Books of Stavropol Krai and of Russia. The most striking species are featured in the exhibition.
