Exhibition 'The World of Simple Things'
About exhibition
The work of A. I. Dubov is distinguished by restraint and contemplative attentiveness; in his pieces he strives for plastic clarity, concision, a muted color palette, and a harmonious spatial composition. The artist’s preferred genres are still life, interior, and landscape. The leitmotif of his art is a penetrating gaze at familiar objects and everyday reality. The master's works reflect a careful attitude toward the world and an ability to find beauty in the humblest motifs—whether a fragment of a house, a studio interior, or a still life. The exhibition 'The World of Simple Things' presents a retrospective of over 40 paintings from different periods. Late works by the master are also on display, in which reminiscences of classical painting are felt: a more attentive approach to the depicted subject, meticulous detail work, and painterly refinement in the rendering of draperies, fruits, and flowers. The exhibition runs until December 7.
