Exhibition 'The World of Folk Culture'
About exhibition
The exhibition features more than 800 authentic items of folk culture that tell about men's and women's crafts and trades, family and household rituals and holidays, and a rich collection of folk costumes. Each theme reflects the most important milestones of a person's life from birth to death. The exhibition uses an interior-style display that creates a complete perception of peasant life. The museum collection also includes interactive modules: a cart with antique children's toys that visitors can play with, an interactive touch table, and a 2D virtual fitting room for peasant costumes. Special attention has been paid to the design of the museum stage, where traditional folk forms and multimedia tools are organically combined. The stage decorations are executed in the form of a carved terem, with a ten-meter radial screen in the upper part and, in the lower part, an installation called 'Khorovod' composed of traditional Belgorod costumes.
